The origin of
Yunogo Onsen

Yunogo Onsen is said to have been discovered by the monk Ennin, who saw a white heron healing its wounds about 1,200 years ago.
The clear, colorless water is said to have skin-beautifying properties, and is also known as “beauty water.”

The spacious large public bath is one of the largest in Okayama Prefecture.
In the open-air bath, you can feel the changing seasons while soaking in the hot spring.

Preparation in the changing room

Basic preparation before bathing.

  • Please remove all clothing before entering the hot spring area.

*Please put your valuables in a locker and lock it.

*Please refrain from using smartphones or cameras.

Use of showers and washing areas

Cleanse your body before entering the hot spring.

  • Before entering the bathtub, rinse off sweat and dirt with plenty of water.
  • After use, please rinse the chairs and buckets in the washing area lightly and return them to their original positions.

*Please be careful not to splash soap or foam around.

A moment in the bathtub

Soak in the hot springs and relax in peace and quiet.

  • If you have long hair, please tie it up and do not enter the bath.
  • Avoid bathing for long periods of time, and take frequent breaks and drink plenty of fluids.

After bathing

Please dry yourself lightly with a towel and return to the changing room.
